I captured this photo of my 'Lemon Queen' sunflower last evening as the sun was setting, and the pink rays were reflecting off the clouds.
I was so pleased with how the photo turned out. It looks as though the sunflower could be growing in thin air. It is nearly 9 feet tall...so in order to get the flower in the frame, I had to tilt the camera so far upward that no earth was in sight....only the sky as the perfect backdrop!

It's hard to get my watering done in the evenings, when there are so many enchanting scenes such as this one to distract me. :-)

Of course you were pleased with this pic, who wouldn't be? Well done, it is lovely! You've captured a beautiful moment in time.
To him who knows you best, speaks of all your perfections which this is a reflection of. Your husband.
Magnificent Idaho Sunset with a gorgeous flower.. What more could one want??
I love the pure clear yellow of that sunflower. Great pic, as is the one of the tomato and the rain.
It's so pretty it ought to be a painting, and I know what you mean about distractions while watering...

Fabulous! What more need I say?
Nice capture.
I grew Lemon Queen last year and I think it may have reseeded when the birds went crazy on the seed heads.

Beautiful photo, love the sky as a back drop and you captured the evening sky.
a reason...a beautiful reason...
Hallo Anita, das Foto ist dir wirklich gut gelungen. Ich hab letzte Woche auch einige gute Fotos gemacht. Ich glaub, ich werd einige von diesem Jahr vergrößern lassen. Ein paar sind im Blog. LG Andrea
Great shot! Even though I try to do my "photo walk" before my after work garden tasks, I still find stuff to take pictures of all evening, too. What's a garden for, if not to be enjoyed to distraction?
Great photo composition. This is one of those shots that makes a whole day of picture-taking worthwhile!
You should make cards from all your gorgeous photos :)
Your photos are stunning, especially this haunting shot. Wish I had been as lucky as you capturing a hummingbird! By the time I grabbed my camera, he was L O N G gone.
