With March well under way, there are changes going on the garden. Slowly, but surely.... signs of life are re-appearing.
Daffodils emerging, with their flower buds already intact.
Same daffodils, a week later under an inch of snow! Yup... it's March, and anything can happen. Fortunately, the snow melted very quickly, in this case.
Garden clean-up begins in earnest, with the first ritual of Spring.... the pruning of my Simplicity rose hedge. This was a stealth shot by my dear husband. :-)
And lastly, a robin... looking for worms.

Yes, the changes of a new season coming have begun! Great post and pics, even the one taken by the stealth one. Yea! The robins are back!
You can't argue with a robin. Spring is definitely on the way. Hopefully without too many more winter burps. :)
Oh I loved this post...but it makes me miss home, and you!
I figure there will be more birds. Oh I like that. I wish there are many birds here at my home, too. And, those daffodils, awesome.
ops ... sorry, link error in previous post. Here I am again with the correct link.
Yes finally spring is on the way, longer days and the sunshine is suddenly warm(ish). Your photo of the daffodils shows the lovely bluegreen color of the leaves very well, very pretty.
Take Care Tyra
You are definitely at least a month ahead of us. It is nice to see some signs of spring even if it is far away from where we live.
Connie ... you are way ahead of me .. I'm thinking of all the work to be done .. getting a bit stress sitting here seeing ice rain and snow to come AGAIN !
Great pictures of the emerging Daffs !
Hi Connie, it looks so springy there in Kamiah. Which means it is headed toward Council too! Yeah!!! Wasn't the snow crazy? We only got about 3 inches and it melted quickly. You place will look truly awake in another 2 weeks. Yes, you have to love March.

Love the change in the seasons. Thanks for sharing the excitement that a few green shoots can inspire.
You have the loveliest hair, I must say first! I love your garden. (I think I'd frame that photo of you in it if I were you!)

Oh I love that quote at the bottom! That is soooo true! Isn't it amazing how strong the spring bulbs are? I'm sure we're not done with the snow here, but at least any snow we'll get won't last long.
I love the changes at this time of year - Daffodils on their way out here but the weather is still so changeable. Always a good chance to get things cleared at this time of year - love your little robin - it's quite different to the robins in UK/France! Have fun Miranda
Your husband is correct: YOU! are the prettiest flower in your garden! I love it. Thank you for sharing a bit of yourself.
Connie spring will be in full swing before you know it! I'm looking forward to more of your gorgeous pictures. I still think about those beautiful frost photos you took when I first found your blog.--Randy
Connie, thanks for stopping by Our Eden! Love your photo of the robin... They're such proud looking little birds... I adore them... Spring has certainly arrived here and I'm so glad to stretch my gardening legs again... It's nice to get back on the gardening wagon!

Spring is on the way! Yeah. I saw my first robin last Friday.
So nice to see your budding daffs. Those flowers amaze me... especially since they don't grow here. Everyone shows them with ice and snow covering and yet they bloom anyway. Amazing.
Signs of life ... always refreshing.

Spring! It is nice to see things popping up in your garden. Early spring can be such an emotional time...one day the ground is clear and the next..snow. Our snow has not shown many signs of leaving yet.
Whenever I see the first spring bulbs pushing thru the snow I think how tough they are and determined to bloom no matter what nature throws their way.
Marnie
Those daffodil tips look gorgeous ~ what a wonderful sight. The good thing about spring snow is that it doesn't seem to bother the emerging bulbs. We are still buried in snow. I pretend that there's lots of green emerging underneath the snow, but I think that's a bit of a fantasy!
I love your blog! I am adding you to my favorites list. I would love to use a couple of thoughts you have also on my blog if you are ok....I will add that I got them from you with your link as well.
Thanks again! Paula from SE Idaho

Good for your husband - what a lovely photo of you.
I really like the close-up photo of the forsythia too...
It's definitely looking like spring Connie! The 1" covering of snow looks familiar ~ we just had the same thing happen here on Tuesday. Luckily in spring it doesn't last long. That's a beautiful photo of the forsythia in the window. Keep thinking warm thoughts and hopefully the snow will be replaced by rain and warmer temperatures.
Yup, I would say spring is popping out all over. That forsythia sure looks lovely inside the house. I think your husband took a great picture of you. I too have been in the garden cleaning up, a neverending chore it seems. I wasn't sure if I should say it, but I see Brenda already said it, your hair is so pretty!
