Christmas Greetings

This little nativity is one of my favorite thrift store finds...and it represents the true Spirit of Christmas for our family.

"For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us Son is given;
And the government shall be upon His shoulder.

And His name shall be called
Wonderful, Counselor,
Mighty God,
the Everlasting Father,
the Prince of Peace."

Isaiah 9:6

To all my readers, fellow gardeners, bloggers, friends and family:

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you, too, and of course I love your nativity set! If you go to one of my blogs, http://branchconnectedtothevine.blogspot.com/
and scroll to the post from the 22nd, you'll see a few family pics, and then to the right of our tree is the nativity set that belonged to my husband when he was a boy.

God Bless!

May you be richly blessed this Christmas, Connie. I will leave soon after if there is an open weather window in order to see my precious son and be there for my daughter's surgery on Monday. We'll see where God wants me. I, too, have a special Nativity that my darlings constructed and filled in their early youth.

Thanks for stopping by my gardening blog (this-newgarden.blogspot.com/).
I sure enjoyed reading some of your posts today. I am in the thinking and planning stage beginning today after watching an old episode of The Victory Garden. BTW, do you compost all winter long? I was planning on doing it (we're in zone 5A) but its been a bear to keep up with snow removal so have put it off. Do you trek out to the compost pile or do you have a bin to use in the winter near the house?

Hello Connie! Your nativity is wonderful! Several years ago my mother in law gave us their old nativity so it's very special to us because it is from my husband's childhood. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas.
