Notes Celebrates One Year

This week marks the one year Anniversary for "Notes from a Cottage Garden." My first post was made on April 27, 2007. I've learned a lot since then and I must say I have enjoyed my venture into the blogging world.

A big THANK YOU to each one who has visited my blog, read my posts, left nice comments, or generally encouraged me along the way. A special thanks to my dear daughter who talked me into in it the first place. :-) I've had a great time meeting and interacting with many new friends who share my love of growing things, and have especially enjoyed the virtual visits to your gardens!

Sending you all some flowers from my Springtime garden.....

Tulips 'Isle De France'

Raindrops on Tulip

'Pink Charm' Daffodil

Muscari Grape Hyacinth

Your bulbs look beautiful. The rich colours are all so vibrant. As a northern gardener too, I know how special those first bulbs are.
Congratulations on blogging for over a year now. It will be fun as you go through the cycle to see the differences in the garden through the seasons. Do you look back through your blog to see when plants were blooming last year in comparison?

Northern Shade - I don't have the heart to do that this year...as everything is waaay behind because of a late cold spring. I'm certain we are at least 2-3 weeks behind last year. Temps are finally climbing and we are getting some sun...yippee!

Congratulations, Connie! You always post the most amazing photos of your beautiful flowers and area where you live. May you have many more years of blogging!

I love the photo of your 'Pink Charm.' I grew those for the first time this year and I'm impressed with them.

I have just visited your blog for the first time. Surely, by now someone has told you that that looks a lot like a quince bush on the south side of The Shack. Of course, there are many types of quince, but I suggest you look in that group of shrubs, if you haven't already. Terrific images of your flowers that reflect your love of gardening and photography.
Good luck.
