Winter Wonderland

Not much time for blogging lately, as I am cleaning/organizing and getting ready for Christmas company, but I wanted to share this photo of the mountains, dressed in yesterday's snowfall.....it makes them look so fresh and clean!

So, did you go walkin' in the winter wonderland? (That was set to music, in case you didn't hear me sing it to you?) We have a good 6 inches here. Thanks for the beauty in pics for us all out here checking your blog daily! Catherine

Lovely winter shot! Although I grew up on the flat lands of the prairie, deep in my bones I long for the mountains, where my ancestors were from.

Wow, what a pretty shot. We are getting snow now, but are only a few feet above sea level!

connie: your view is spectacular. i'm a little jealous of the beautiful snow covered grounds. it would be nice to have season changes which would give me a reprieve from year round gardening. both climates have their trade-offs i suppose.

btw- i've linked your garden to my blog- hope you don't mind.

Merry Christmas and enjoy your visiting family.

The snow-covered mountains look beautiful especially with such a clear blue sky!

You certainly have a beautiful view from your home! Aren't we glad our Creator designed such diversity? We have ice, and more ice. The nice thing about these last couple of sunny, warmer days is that the ice shimmers on Everything (beautiful!) and it's melting and dropping, and making walking a bit less trecherous! (Or at least, more "interesting.") ;-)

Oh that is so pretty, and not something we will ever see here in flat-as-a-pancake Ohio. We have our own beauty, but there's just something about hills and mountains...

Our mountains are looking just like that at the top like someone sprinkled powdered sugar on them. However, the sun isn't shining as beautifully as it is in your picture. Have fun preparing for your Christmas company. Andrea from Germany

very nice shot. Is that the view from your house?

Pretty awesome view especially with the snow.

Connie said...

Mr Brownthumb - Yes, we are blessed to have this as the view from our house. The snow has since melted, but more is in the forecast.

That's awesome.

I hope you get just the right amount of snow to get that view back but not enough to be an inconvenience.

What a stunning area you live in - it really is beautiful - especially the autumnal pictures you took in a previous post... having said that autumn in Brittany, France was quite beautiful too with frosts as you say coming a bit later with some of the coldest weather we've ever experienced since we got here... I've posted some pics on my site of this! There are no mountains around us which is one thing I must admit that I do miss... Happy New Year for 2008 -Miranda
