Autumn Beauty

Today I need to post just a few more autumn scenes. These were taken a few days ago.....it was a gray cloudy day, but the trees along the river were ablaze with color!

In a previous post, I shared some pictures of our mountain view, as seen from our house. In the fall the colors really come alive! These first three photos were taken about a half mile upriver from our house, along one of the prettiest stretches of the Clearwater River.

A close up of the trees reflecting in the water. The green of the pines makes the perfect backdrop! The fall colored trees are mostly wild cherry, which turn a beautiful combination of yellow, peach and red, and sometimes look as though they are ablaze!

This photo was taken from a lower angle, with the dried golden grasses of the river bank in the foreground.

This road ascends up a fairly steep hill enroute to our house, and looks westward toward the familiar shape of the mountain in the distance. Each time I leave home, I love turning the corner....to be greeted by this view!

I am ever grateful for the beautiful surroundings God has placed us in...the place that we call 'Home'!

Beautiful photos - how lucky you are to have this close by!! The colors are just wonderful - I love seeing the reflections in the river.

Our son and daughter-in-law live in Seattle. They've been there almost three years (Sara grew up there) - it's such a beautiful area. I wish we were a little closer so we could visit them more often. Your photos of Mt Ranier and the fall colors are very pretty.

My Dear, the colors of God's creation are magnificent. Thank you for sharing.

The evergreens really do enhance the turning trees. Great photos! Unfortunately we haven't had many trees turn yet and it doesn't look like this will be a very good year for color.

WOW!

Connie your view is fantastic! You got some great fall color and did a good job of capturing it with your camera.

Hello Connie; When I looked at your photos this morning, I thought the first one was down the road from here a mile. Vermont's foliage season is about over but around here it was spectacular this year. Now we are down to poplars, birches, oaks and the reds from sumacs.

Thanks for some great photography!

Great Fall pictures, if we could have some of those colors in Florida I would be a happy man. Thanks for the nice comment on my blog.

The fall color is gone here so I did so enjoy seeing yours! The 'coming home' shot is a beauty and you are very fortunate to count that view among your daily treasures. Beautiful!

No Way! That's your view! I think a little piece of my heart broke off and was left behind in my travels through British Columbia and south of there. A glorious spot to live.
