We finally received our first snowfall of the season. As always, it is beautiful and magical..... adding a clean layer of white to everything it touches.

A ranch in our neighborhood.....always photogenic, but especially so in the low winter light and a cover of snow.

Snow adds a new dimension to this simple, rustic fence post.

The brown remains of Queen Anne's Lace becomes a receptacle for a fluff of white snow.

Wild turkey tracks. :-)

Oh, quite lovely pictures, Connie! My favorite is the Queen's receptacle. We have about 8 inches here and 0 degrees when I got up this morning. I've tossed some wheat berries under one of Jay's tall trucks for the quail.
ReplyDeleteOur snow melted over the weekend but we expect a lot more tomorrow;) That is a very picturesque entrance to the ranch.

Lovely, peaceful photos...so nice to look at on a rainy windy California day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool scene. I especially like how the Queen Anne's Lace looks like a stand for a ball of snow.
ReplyDeleteConnie,
ReplyDeleteI also love the QA's Lace with the snow crown. All that snow around the country!
It's 68 degrees and cloudy here today.

Loooooooooooooooooove the Queen Anne's Lace
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is very nice because of subtle color. But I really like the unusual ones -- especially the Queen Anne's Lace.
ReplyDeleteSilently the snowflakes fall and turn everything into a magical wonderland! Love the snow cone on the fence post!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
Some of my favorite pictures are those of just a little snow on an object. Thanks for sharing. We've had some snow; probably 6" or so of frozen snow on the ground, but it's mostly cold here right now. Nancy
ReplyDeleteI'll be sure to add your first snowy post to the main page today -- thanks so much for participating! Your photos are beautiful!
