It was raining when we went to bed last night, but sometime during the night it turned to snow....
This late bloom on my yellow English rose 'Graham Thomas' was heavy with wet snow, and resting on the post of the picket fence.

That is such a beautiful photograph. It looks as if you had quite a bit of snow ... at least there are still roses!!

ReplyDeleteoooo... how fun... first snowfall. i've never lived where it snows so it is difficult to imagine what that feels like to a gardener. you captured it nicely with your rose and the picket fence.

Looks like a heavy, wet snow. It looks as though we may be receiving some snow on Wednesday. We'll be thinking about all the Thanksgiving travelers.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! We received our first snow yesterday, I was not home from work in time to get pictures as it was dark when I got home from work. It was the pretty kind that sticks to the trees, darn it :).
ReplyDeleteThe first snowfall is always 'magical' and you captured it beautifully, Connie. Though 'teased' with a few flakes and light dusting, we are in 'a holding pattern'... but I have my camera waiting!
